Scott started playing volleyball at the age of 15 and he began his pro-beach volleyball career in 1997. He was voted the AVP Rookie of the Year in 1999 and the AVP Most Improved Player in 2005. By the end of the 2008 pro-beach volleyball season, Sean had entered 186 pro-beach events, advancing to 21 finals, winning 5 tournament championships.
